2021 Purchases
We bought 6 NH foals from both GOFFS UK & GOFFS IRELAND, and one privately.
As they are produced we will take photos of them and post updates. Below is some information on them,
WALK IN THE PARK- he needs no introduction! The sire of the mighty DOUVAN and MIN and the exciting FACILE VEGA amongst others. This Filly is out of an ACORDIAN mare and hosts some nice black type in her pedigree. Her full brother (2020) sold for 60,000e as a foal and her half sister NIFTY GETAWAY has made a winning start under rules for Archie Watson.
GOLAITH DU BERLAIS- Is a 4 time group winning son of the great SAINT DES SAINTS out of a KINGS THEATRE mare. We have always loved SAINT DES SAINTS progeny and the lack of them in the UK and at Irish foal sales makes them very valuable. We had been under bidder on a nice GOLAITH DU BERLAIS filly in Ireland and when we saw the pedigree of this colt we decided he was worth a look. A little small on first inspection but he was a terrific walker and being from the family of Irish Grand National winner BURROWS SAINT he ticked a lot of boxes. He is currently growing well in the field and has a wonderful temperament.
HILLSTAR - Is by Danehill Dancer and out of the mare Crystal Star, making him a half brother to CRYSTAL OCEAN. He had 4 winners from his first 5 runners in Ireland and is doing very well from small crops of foals. This colt is very strong and square, a typical HILLSTAR and hopefully will be a strong 3yo to go back the the store sales.
CLOUDINGS- A traditional NH favourite who has sired Grand National winner MANY CLOUDS and other stayers such as CLOUDY GLEN, CLOUDY LANE, VINTAGE CLOUDS to name a few. This grey colt is from his last crop of foals, we had always wanted one so had to get on and buy one as they aren't making anymore. His dam has bred one runner from one winner and he has some nice black type on his page.
SHOLOKOV- Another sire who has proven he can breed class acts such as SHISHKIN and BOB OLINGER, he is consistent and has produced a very correct, big athletic filly in this one, She has the looks for the show ring and is closely related to SECRET SHE KEEPS who is in training with HENRY DE BROMHEAD and in the same ownership as BOB OLINGER.
AFFINISEA- An eye catching stallion who is closely related to SOLDIER OF FORTUNE and SHOLOKOV. He has had 8 Irish P2P runners to date from his first crop and had produced two 3rds, two 2nds and four winners! This black filly is out of a mare who has bred 5 winners already so let's hope she makes it 6!

2020 PILLAR CORAL filly (UNNAMED)
We purchased this filly as a yearling at GOFFS UK, she was very correct, athletic and had a wonderful temperament. Her Sire PILLAR CORAL stands in Ireland at KILBARRY LODGE and is a 1/2 brother to top NH sires COSTAL PATH and MARTALINE. He is a striking stallion at 16.3hh we recently visited him and he was as impressive as we'd hoped. His 3yo Stores that we viewed at the GOFFS Land Rover sale in 2022 were well grown individuals that will hopefully do the business on the racecourse. This filly is maturing nicely and is closely related to the COOLMORE owned Nicky Henderson trained WISEGUY, Nicky reported him to be a very good young horse who will go chasing in 2022/23 season. She will be prepped to go back to the sales as a store in 2023.

Pomme was purchased from the GOFFS NH Foal sale, she is by the exciting first season sire JACK HOBBS, the price of his foals and stores has been strong and the future looks very promising. She has an interesting pedigree as is out of a DALAKANI mare making her suited to the flat but her dam line hosts the top NH sire KAYF TARA so she could be anything. We have decided to retain her to produce from home with the possibility of her going under rules one day.

Pierre was purchased by us as a foal from Goffs Doncaster with the intention of producing him as a 3yo Store horse for the Spring sales. He is by the first season sire CLOVIS DU BERLAIS a successful national hunt horse from France who is by the late great KINGS THEATER. His Dam is by leading national hunt WESTERNER.
After selling at the GOFFS store sale Pierre went into training down in Devon and after a couple of runs decided racing wasn't for him.
With his super conformation and attitude to work he has the makings of a good event horse or worker and is now owned by and being retrained by one of Amy's clients in North Wales.

Blairmore Gold Rush is a homebred mare 3/4 connemara
1/4 TB both of her parents are winning BE event ponies so she has something to live up to. She should stay under 148cm and is broken and ridden away. unfortunately she got kicked on her splint bone and had to have it removed last year so while she recuperates she is on breeding loan to a friend.
Her Dam and Grand Dam are still both is work at 22yo and 26yo so hopefully Muddle has plenty of years ahead of her.

Mouse- After a great start to 2020 with two days training with the brilliant Corrine Bracken in January at Addington Manor as part of the BHS F&I association annual course Mouse was all set to contest some BS and HOYS Working Hunter Qualifiers, She has been a fragile mare and at times hard to keep 100% but with the help of a good, vet, farrier and physio she had been on top form of late. Then lock down hit in March. What to do with all the horses?
The 4, 5 & 6yos all needed more education so Mouse was top of the list (being a mare) to have an easy year, so off to stud she went! She is now in foal to successful event stallion Bazaars Chief, not being a huge stallion and with plenty of TB blood we hope for a nice small blood type. Mouse is by the HSI 5* stallion Mermus R, he is a KWPN with a large TB influence. He is very sought after Sire of Showjumpers but is now also establishing himself as an international damsire through such horses as Adelgone Z (Sven Hadley). In 2010 Boemerrang (Namelus R x Mermus R) won the four year old Vion Cup in the Netherlands and sold for €260,000. An Elmshorn x Mermus R was sold for €420,000. In 2017 the impressive Zapatero VDL x Mermus R 3yo Jordan was 3rd at the KWPN Stallion Show.
